AÇÃO DIRETA 1987 / 1992 – OS PRIMEIROS ANOS ********** Many things have happened since 1987, which was the year the band started out its activities in the city of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo’s ABC area: concerts around Brazil, Argentina and Europe, different members, albums released, participation in several greatest hit collections. A story of attitude, persistence and integrity with heavy music, having always pursued the underground paths. In 1998 the first demo tape was released, entitled ‘TEMOS QUE AGIR’ (WE HAVE TO ACT), which provided the band with the opportunity of performing live as well as many contacts which resulted in the release of the band’s first record, ‘RESISTIREI’ (I SHALL RESIST). This record, originally released in 1991 through HELLION RECORDS, a label from São Paulo, was reedited on a CD format in 1996 through label PECÚLIO DISCOS, owned by RATOS DE PORÃO’s drummer, Boka. The record brings back the first phase of the band, with a sonority that reflects the strong influence of the first generation of Brazilian Puck Rock together with Hardcore and Metal. After various performances and good promotion work, the band signed a contract with DEVIL DISCOS, another label from São Paulo, and released its second record, ‘BASEADO EM FATOS REAIS” (BASED ON REAL FACTS) in 1994. The record was produced by RH Jackson and Gordo (Ratos de Porão), containing a very original sonority, acoustic elements, well-written lyrics, with a high level of denouncement. Once again, the band started a series of the performances in different cities, wrapping up 1996 with a quick visit to the neighboring country, Argentina. In 1997, the band celebrated its first decade of work by releasing its third album, ‘ENTRE BENÇÃO E CAOS’ (BETWEEN BLESSING AND CHAOS). The CD, edited by label PECÚLIO DISCOS was the result of much work, rehearsals, trips, life experiences and activism. It also presented a clear work progress, combining acoustic and tribal tracks, intelligent lyrics with fast and heavy Hardcore, positioning ACÃO DIRETA among the main band names in Brazilian Hardcore. The CD received excellent reviews in publications in Brazil, Europe and the USA. In order to keep on celebrating the first decade, the band set out on its first European tour in May, 1997. Portugal, Spain, Euskadi, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy were countries where AÇÃO DIRETA performed, leaving behind a positive impression. Back in Brazil, the band played hard at the rehearsals and in April 1999 released ‘INTERVENÇÃO” (INTERVENTION), its fourth album. The CD, released by PECÚLIO DISCOS, presented a different sonority and was composed based on the experiences lived by the band in Europe, where the CD had a record format released through the partnership between labels BROCCOLLI RECORDS (Germany) and COLETIVO MALA RAZA (Spain). To promote its work, the band set out on its second tour in May, 1999. This time, they traveled through Germany, Belgium, France, Euskadi, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria, totaling 21 concerts. The tour resulted in the release of the live CD "RISOTTO BOMBS – LIVE IN SLOVENIA" in 2000, by label RASURA RECORDS. Such a CD was recorded at the MKC club, in the city of Koper, Slovenia, containing 29 songs; the band’s performance is filled with energy and an album of photos taken during the tour is enclosed. 2001 was also a very intense and positive year for AÇÃO DIRETA, which then made its biggest tour across Europe. In September and October, the band performed 33 concerts in 37 days. The tour included Portugal, Spain, Euskadi, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, Austria and the Czech Republic, totaling 12 countries. Back in Brazil, the band was honored through the release of a tribute CD by label RASURA RECORDS. The CD "AÇÃO DIRETA – TRIBUTO" ("AÇÃO DIRETA – TRIBUTE") gathers 23 bands from the Brazilian scene in great versions. In 2002, the band performed a series of concerts throughout Brazil, being present in many important festivals such as DA TRIBO FEST, FIM DO MUNDO, FESTIVAL PUNKNET, STREET ROCK, among others. The band ended the year by recording new material for its new work. Recorded in São Paulo, at MR SOM studio and produced by Heros Trench / Marcelo Pompeu, the CD, entitled "REVOLTA/REPÚDIO/CONFRONTO/RESISTÊNCIA" (REVOLT/REPUDIATION/COMFRONT/RESISTANCE), was released by label BOMBARDEIO DISTRO and counted on the participation of special guests such as Jão (RATOS DE PORÃO), Heros Trench (KORZUS), Parmito (FDS/TUJERPIIS) and Marcus D..Ângelo (CLAUSTROFOBIA). The CD presents an explosive fusion of Hardcore/Metal/Grind, achieving a unique level of sonority. The lyrics, always up-to-date, bring up issues such as globalization and its effects, wars, social problems, intolerance, existentialism and the human decadence. The CD was also released in Germany and England. Promotion work of the CD was very intense. In addition to the concerts, in many Brazilian states, the band also set out on its fourth European tour in October and November, performing in 6 different countries, totaling 33 concerts. Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Slovenia were the countries visited. A video was shot with the song PESADO (NIGHTMARE) and aired on alternative TV shows and the Internet; also, broadcast by MTV and TV Cultura. Now, in 2006, São Paulo’s ABC area quartet is back with its new album, celebrating 18 years work, with a renewed energy. Recorded at studio DA TRIBO in São Paulo, in analogical recording system and digital mixing, the CD was produced by the extremism master CIERO (KRISIUN/SUBTERA/CLAUSTROFOBIA). The album entitled MASSACRE HUMANO (HUMAN MASSACRE), with 14 lyrics containing an overwhelming fusion between HARDCORE and METAL, heavily and aggressively played with unique originality, has provided the band with new fans and admirers all over the world! MASSACRE HUMANO (HUMAN MASSACRE) now hits the stores and distributors in Brazil through São Paulo’s labels RED STAR, headed by Jerferson (AGROTOXICO) and VOICE MUSIC, headed by Silvião (KORZUS), both forming a promising partnership. The graphic work, developed by hand by artist and tattooist 1Berto, as well as the entire album theme, which is a conceptual one, are filled with biblical, political, philosophic citations and questioning, bringing out pessimistic, more real and worrying points of view regarding the future of humankind. The paradox was created based on the notion of resurrection and crucifixion of Jesus Christ in the 21st century, here represented as a common man, living through difficult times, in an obscure, violent and decadent era, fighting against the big instinctive destruction cycle created by men to destroy their own fellow beings. “THOSE WHO RULED IN THE PAST, RULE IN THE PRESENT AND SHALL RULE IN THE FUTURE!!!” Currently, the band is working to promote the new CD and on the MASSACRE HUMANO tour, performing concerts around Brazil.

Começamos em 1987, na época como um trio. Não sabiamos tocar absolutamente nada, não havia estrutura, mas superamos todas as dificuldades da época com muita garra !!! Gravamos nossa 01 Demo tape, em 1988 e ai começaram os convites para shows em outras cidades e toda essa história não parou mais !!! Foram varias expriencias fantasticas vividas até o momento, shows pelo Brasil, Argentina e 04 Tours pela europa. 7 Albuns lançpados, 2 Eps e diversas coletaneas

2.TEM IDÉIA DE QUANTOS SHOWS O AÇÃO DIRETA PARTICIPOU?
Não tenho idéia mesmo, mas posso dizer que estamos desde 1987 tocando sem paradas. Nosso primeiro show é datado em 1988 !!!Posso dizer que estou desde os 17 anos............................ tocando no underground !!!!

MASSACRE HUMANO é um album conceitual, que fala sobre essa nova epoca em que o mundo vive !!!Fala da falta de expectativas em relação ao futuro. fala desta exposição do ser humano, do cidadão a todos os tipos de viol~encia e abusos. Toda a violação da cidadania e também sobre os reflexos desta falta de educação e do lado social e dos efeitos da ignorancia na viada da sociedade desta nova era !!!Musicalmente é o nosso album ais extremo e metalizado !!!

São varios os momentos. As pessoas que conhecemos e que sempre foram referencias nossas e hoje são amigos, as tours e os lugares em que tivemos a oportunidade de tocar e conhecer, as amizades feitas e a energia dos shows !!!
